On February 12, 2024, Mr. Thantha Phirum, a 4th grade teacher of Aknuwat Hun Sen Practice Primary School (New Generation School Program), led the students to learn about the puzzle of finding flowers. Contributed by Japanese teachers.
Activities before the experiment
The teacher guides the students to prepare materials for group experiments such as
- 3 types of flowers
- Tweezers
- Scissors
- Ram paper
- Scots
Divide students into 4 groups
Introduction to the experiment
Activities during the experiment
- Students begin to cut flowers in half using scissors.
- Students observe a split flower
- Students use a pair of pliers to draw different parts of the flower, place it on a piece of parchment paper and tape it over it (flower petals, male and female hairs).
- Students begin to observe and write the name of the jigsaw puzzle of flowers.
Post-experimental activities
- Students observe and compare puzzles of the three types of flowers
- Students in groups present the results of the experiment
Linking skills and daily life
After students complete this lesson, students can practice on other flowers.
