On January 18, 2024, students of Aknuwat Hun Sen Primary School (New Generation School Program) made a pen box under the direction of Mr. Yen Panha, a teacher in charge of Grade 5B.
Pre-action
The teacher has prepared materials for making pen boxes, such as colored paper, scissors, rulers, pencils and glue. Teachers advise to use all these materials with caution as they can be dangerous.
Activities during
The teacher uploaded a video from YouTube, showing the slides for students to learn, from how to measure, how to cut paper, how to fold and create our favorite colors.
Post-Activity
Students can make a pen case for each of them to store some study materials such as pens, pencils, erasers, erasers, rulers, and so on. Please note that two students sit at the same table, but they put the same pen box together to store study materials together, when one pen box is broken, they use another one at a time. After they finished their work, their faces were full of smiles, joy and excitement for their work. This kind of learning activity makes students reduce stress with lessons that they think are complicated and difficult to understand.
Skills linked to daily life
Learning like this, we look easy, but students who have never done it think it is great for them to be able to produce one and use it every day, sometimes they are not happy about something. They are interested in this pen box, they will see when they do, it can be said. When they get home, they put some study materials on their desks, and their parents are happy that their children can make their own.
